Millex-GP filters are recommended for sterile filtering protein solutions, tissue culture media, buffers and additives. Millex filters with Durapore® (PVDF) membrane are the lowest protein-binding syringe filters available. Use them to filter protein solutions. The 0.2 µm filters are sterilizing grade.

Syringe filters with CA (cellulose acetate) or PES (polyether sulfone) membranes are ideal for sterile filtration of buffers, tissue culture media or additives, and other biologicals. The PES membrane offers high flow rates. RC and PTFE hydrophilic type offer the best chemical resistence for both aqueous solutions and solvents.
These filters are designed for single use and are not autoclavable. Steripak™ units are available in two maximum volumes to filter up to 10 L or 20 L of fluid. Both sizes are equipped with the low protein-binding, fast flow 0.22 µm pore Millipore Express ® membranes. Units are supplied sterile and ready to connect to a pump or pressure vessel.
